Need an experienced groomer who can groom dogs and cats. Must have own equipment.
Dog Groomer – Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a dog groomer or completion of a professional grooming program
- Strong knowledge of breed-specific cuts, coat types, and grooming techniques
- Ability to safely handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels
- Skilled in bathing, brushing, clipping, trimming, and nail cutting
- Familiarity with grooming tools (clippers, shears, dryers) and proper maintenance
- Understanding of animal behavior and basic health indicators (skin issues, parasites, etc.)
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with pet owners
- Ability to follow specific grooming requests and provide recommendations
- Patience, attention to detail, and a gentle approach with animals
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/handle dogs when necessary
- Strong hygiene practices and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace
- Time management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently
- Basic record-keeping and scheduling experience (preferred)
- Certification in pet grooming or animal care (preferred but not always required)
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards in animal care environments
Pay: $500.00 - $2,000.00 per week
