Overview
Join our brand new and growing medical practice as a Clinical Care Coordinator and become an important part of building a welcoming, efficient, and patient-focused office from the ground up. Working closely with the Physician and Office Manager, you will help oversee daily operations, coordinate schedules, support staff, assist patients, and ensure an excellent patient experience. Duties
- Manage daily medical office operations, including front desk activities, multi-line phones, and patient check-in/check-out to ensure smooth workflow.
- Schedule patient appointments, coordinate provider calendars, and manage follow-up visits or referrals.
- Greet patients professionally and provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
- Verify insurance information, collect copays, and assist with patient billing questions.
- Maintain and update patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) for scheduling, chart management, and administrative tasks.
- Coordinate communication with pharmacies, labs, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
- Support office staffing needs, onboarding, and general administrative duties.
- Take and document patient vital signs while preparing patients for their appointments.
- Assist the physician/provider with day-to-day office efficiency and patient flow.
Experience
- Proven experience in medical office management, healthcare administration, or a similar professional office environment.
- Supervisory experience preferred, with the ability to lead and support staff effectively.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EMR/EHR systems strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage provider schedules, appointments, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of insurance verification, patient scheduling, copay collection, and medical billing processes is a plus.
- Experience coordinating vendors, office supplies, and service providers.
- Background in hiring, onboarding, training, and maintaining employee records preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and handling confidential patient information.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor for interacting with patients, staff, and providers.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to keep the office running efficiently while providing outstanding patient service.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
