About the Role
PsychPlus is seeking an experienced Director of Government Operations to lead and oversee all government-related business operations, contracts, compliance, and strategic initiatives. This executive leader will serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives for public sector partnerships and government-funded programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of government programs, grants, and contracts while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies and strategic partners.
- Manage and coordinate RFP submissions, contract negotiations, renewals, and performance monitoring.
- Partner with legal, compliance, finance, and executive leadership to maintain audit readiness and contractual integrity.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows for government initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal stakeholders to drive visibility and growth opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing and managing government-funded projects.
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies for government engagements.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulations and provide guidance on operational impact.
- Analyze performance metrics and prepare reports for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in government operations, contract management, public sector strategy, or related leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing large-scale government programs, grants, and contracts.
- Deep understanding of federal, state, and local procurement processes and compliance regulations.
- Strong leadership, project management, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience within behavioral health, healthcare, managed care, or nonprofit organizations.
- Familiarity with grants management systems, ERP platforms, and government contract tracking tools.
- Experience working with Medicaid, public funding streams, and value-based care initiatives.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
