Classic Kia of Carrollton is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Kia Service Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Kia vehicles with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaving our service center meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on Kia vehicles using automotive diagnostic tools and interpret automotive wiring diagrams to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems, including diesel engine repair and automotive engine system repair.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical repair techniques to execute repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Diagnose and repair advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), electrical systems, alignment issues, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical problems within automotive electrical systems.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for vehicle maintenance, engine repairs, and auto body work as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, ensuring satisfaction, and maintaining professional communication throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience as a Service Technician or similar role with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Certification as a Kia Service Technician or equivalent certification demonstrating expertise in Kia vehicle systems.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive engine technology, mechanical repair, vehicle systems, and powertrain components.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and the use of diagnostic tools for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience working with ADAS technology, automotive wiring diagrams, heavy lifting techniques, and alignment procedures.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence; ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
