American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN with Level I trauma and telemetry experience for an inpatient recovery position requiring pre/post cath lab and IR procedure skills.

Inpatient PACU role within a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital setting
-
Patient ratio of 1:2 in PACU
-
Day shift, 4x12 hours from 11:00 to 23:30
-
Requires pre/post cath lab and pre/post IR procedure care
-
Floating required to the PACU Holding area, equivalent to an inpatient PCU assignment with ratios of 1:3-5
-
Weekend requirement of one per month
-
On-call requirement of 1-2 overnight call shifts per month on a 4-week schedule

Uses Cerner charting system
-
Scrub color: black
-
No block scheduling accommodations
-
Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted

Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
-
Level I Trauma experience required
-
Telemetry experience required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

RQI certifications not accepted

Must be willing to perform pre-op care

Charge nurse experience preferred

Non-local driver's license required if outside local radius

Provide recovery care to post-surgical and post-procedural patients including cath lab and IR cases

Must work 2 of the following 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, or New Year's Eve & New Year's Day

Facility does not accept local candidates within a 100-mile radius

First-time travelers accepted upon client screening

Candidates with limited to no pediatric experience will be considered

RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval

A 6-month system break is required after 1 year or 4 consecutive assignments, whichever comes first

Former staff must have a 12-month separation before returning

COVID vaccine is optional but must be reported through vaccine series upload or declination
