Our Racquet Sports program offers indoor and outdoor courts, professional instruction, leagues, clinics, tournaments, and year-round programming for players of all ages and skill levels.
Position Summary
The Standard Club is seeking friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Tennis Shop Associates to join our Racquet Sports team. We are currently hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.
The Tennis Shop Associate serves as an important point of contact for members and guests and helps ensure the daily operations of the Racquet Sports department run smoothly. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent service, and is comfortable working in an active, member-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner.
- Provide attentive and responsive service consistent with The Standard Club's standards.
- Assist members with court reservations, event registrations, clinics, lessons, and general Racquet Sports inquiries.
- Process point-of-sale transactions for merchandise, services, and other Racquet Sports activities.
- Answer telephone calls and assist with member questions and requests.
- Maintain attractive, organized, and well-stocked merchandise displays.
- Assist with inventory, receiving merchandise, and other Tennis Shop duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with Racquet Sports professionals and other Club departments to support daily operations.
- Assist with tournaments, leagues, clinics, socials, and special events.
- Maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and organization of the Tennis Shop and surrounding areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Racquet Sports.
Qualifications
- Prior customer service, retail, hospitality, or private club experience preferred.
- Knowledge of tennis, pickleball, or other racquet sports is a plus, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine desire to provide excellent member service.
- Professional, dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
- Comfortable using computers and learning point-of-sale, reservation, and club management systems.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a private club environment.
Schedule
Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Candidates should have schedule flexibility based on Club and Racquet Sports operations. Availability may include weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
