Low Voltage Technician - DC Project Shepherdsville, KY (Louisville Metro) | Contract, 10 Weeks | 2 Openings

THE PROJECT
We are building out the low voltage infrastructure at a distribution center in Shepherdsville, KY. Over roughly ten weeks we will install new Category 6A data drops, stand up a new floor-mounted IDF with fiber backbone, migrate cameras and wireless access points, and abate several hundred abandoned cables across five IDF locations.
You will work on a six-person crew alongside four IntegrityTech technicians traveling in for the project. This is real production work in an active distribution center, and the standard is high: every drop gets terminated clean, tested, certified, labeled, and documented.
Location: Shepherdsville, KY 40165 (approximately 20 minutes south of Louisville)
Start date: Wednesday, September 2, 2026
Duration: Through approximately Friday, November 13, 2026
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM start. No weekends.
Travel: None. This is a single-site local assignment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
We publish our pay structure because we believe good techs deserve to know exactly what they are signing up for.
- Base pay: $24 to $34 per hour, depending on experience
- 401(k) with match: 100% match on first 3% plus 50% on next 2% (full match at 5% deferral). Auto-enrolled day one.
- Pay schedule: Bi-weekly direct deposit, every other Friday
- Consistent hours: 40 hours per week for the full project duration. No gaps, no partial weeks.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Pull, support, terminate, dress, label, and certify Category 6A cable through cable tray, J-hooks, and overhead warehouse pathways
- Build and clean up IDF closets: rack and stack, patch panel installation, patch management, structured labeling, Fluke DSX certification
- Terminate and test fiber optic backbone connections
- Rerun and reterminate CCTV camera and wireless access point drops
- Remove abandoned cabling in accordance with NEC 800.25
- Read and execute prints, SOWs, and cable schedules
- Coordinate directly with the onsite project lead, the client's project manager, and other trades
- Work seamlessly alongside IntegrityTech technicians, sharing knowledge and supporting the crew
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional job site (OSHA standards, fall protection, lift safety)
- Document daily progress: photos, time tracking, as-built notes
WHAT YOU NEEDTECHNICAL FOUNDATION
- Required: Hands-on experience installing commercial structured cabling systems
- Required: Copper termination experience (jacks, patch panels, keystones)
- Required: Able to work from ladders and aerial lifts with proper fall protection, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Required: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work overhead, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Required: Detail-oriented documentation skills. Comfortable capturing labeled photos and completing daily records thoroughly and accurately
- Required: Available for the full project duration, September 2 through mid-November
- Required: Valid driver's license with clean MVR (we run motor vehicle records)
- Required: Able to pass a pre-employment background check (criminal history) and motor vehicle record review. Site access requires it.
- Required: Own basic hand tools and PPE
- Required: Reliable personal transportation to the Shepherdsville site

WHAT SETS YOU APART (PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED)
- Familiarity with Fluke DSX certification testing
- Category 6A termination experience to TIA-568 standards
- Aerial lift / scissor lift certification
- Distribution center, warehouse, or national retail rollout experience
- BICSI Installer 2 or BICSI Technician certification
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Fiber optic termination and testing
- Cable tray and overhead pathway experience
- Commercial construction experience
