***MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND AN INTERVIEW AND TRAIN IN OUR PLANTATION OFFICE***
Job Responsibilities:
- Interview patients, check for allergies and record information, input information in the patients’ medical chart
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and equipment
- Maintains clean, fully stocked, organized, and up-to-date rooms upon arrival and prior to leaving work
- Prepare injections and assist Physicians as necessary
- Remove staples, sutures, casts, and bandages per Physician orders
- Clean and sterilize equipment
- Apply DME per Physician orders
- Enter all testing, physical therapy, medications, allergies, etc. in the computer
- Schedule ancillary testing ordered by the Physician
- Call prescriptions into Pharmacy and fill the medications at our Pharmacy as needed per physician order
- Travel to other offices as needed.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certificate
- Prior orthopedic experience a plus
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Bilingual Spanish
