Associate Director of Graduate Admissions
POSITION DETAILS
Brooklyn College seeks an Admissions Manager to serve as the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions. The Associate Director will manage the logistics and operations of all aspects of application processing for graduate programs. The Associate Director reports to the Director of Graduate Admissions and will work alongside the Director to develop, plan, and manage school-wide student recruitment activities and strategies.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, typical duties Associate Director of Graduate Admissions include but are not limited to:
Ensure the efficient and effective processing, completion, and evaluation of applications and documents submitted as part of the admissions process.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with Graduate Deputies and other academic department staff to resolve admissions issues, advise on general policies, and maintain streamlined application file processing.
Plan and execute monthly Admission Webinars and Information sessions including some evenings and weekends.
Document operational procedures for quality control, staff, and student assistant training purposes.
Oversee department application databases, including Slate and CUNYFirst. Ensure data integrity and seamless integration of various enrollment management. Perform troubleshooting and escalate technical issues, as necessary.
Produce regular reports on application processing to monitor progress towards department goals.
Supervise and train College Assistants. Manage staffing schedule for college assistants and student assistants.
Develop and implement an office communications plan for applicants and incoming students to improve overall customer service. Analyze plan effectiveness and make suggestions to the Director, as necessary.
Work closely with the Director to establish an annual calendar for internal operations project plans, team, and work assignments, and identify resource needs.
Ensure the smooth transition of accepted students to deposited and enrolled students through participation in yield/orientation events.
Advise prospective graduate students on program options, requirements, policies, and procedures, as necessary.
Attend Recruitment Fairs or events regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Represent Graduate Admissions in the absence of Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in admissions.
Experience with CUNYFirst.
The successful candidate will also have strong communication, interpersonal, managerial, and administrative skills.
Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends required.

$102,408 - $118,070; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
