We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Residential Energy Specialist to help Connecticut homeowners reduce energy costs, improve comfort, and take advantage of valuable incentives available through the Energize CT program. Green Collar has created a niche in the market by providing single-source Energy Efficiency services that historically would have required hiring multiple contractors. Offering HVAC, Insulation, and Window installation allows us to optimize the customer experience by controlling all aspects of the project internally—from sales and assessment to installation and quality control.

Green Collar is actively seeking experienced Energize CT Home Energy Specialists and BPI Building Analysts who are looking for an opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding company.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 2-3 Energize CT Home Energy Assessments daily for homeowners throughout Connecticut.
- Evaluate homes and utilize energy efficiency software to identify opportunities for improved comfort, efficiency, and energy savings.
- Educate homeowners on available incentives, rebates, and recommended upgrades, including insulation, air sealing, and heat pumps.
- Present recommendations and guide homeowners through the assessment and paperwork process
- Build trust with homeowners and provide exceptional customer service.
- Generate referrals and identify additional opportunities to improve the customer's home.
- Install basic energy-saving products during assessments when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and submit all required reports promptly.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Continuously improve product knowledge, sales skills, and understanding of energy efficiency programs.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a field-based schedule.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, and software applications.
- Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with homeowners.
- Must be comfortable working in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and other residential environments.
- Ability to climb ladders, navigate rooftops safely, and lift up to 60 pounds when necessary.
Required Certifications
- BPI Building Analyst Certification (current and in good standing).
- U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Home Energy Score Assessor Certification.
- Successful completion of Energize CT Home Energy Solutions Bootcamp Training.
Compensation
This position combines a competitive base salary with performance-based compensation that rewards strong customer service, energy expertise, and sales performance.

Work Location
This position is field-based and serves homeowners throughout Connecticut. Travel between customer homes is required, though appointments will typically be concentrated to minimize travel time.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
