We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, particularly within the food service industry. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for managing transactions, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and welcoming café atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their visit.
- Accurately process customer transactions using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions while ensuring accuracy in cash handling.
- Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or as a cashier is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Square, is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer interactions.
