Kumar & Associates (K+A) is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for our Summit County Office.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical/civil engineering or a related technical field is required.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have:
- 4+ years of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing experience.
- Registered professional engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in English.
- Must have a valid CO driver’s license, and acceptable driving record (per MVR).
- Ability to work independently, communicate clearly (excellent oral and writing communication skills).
- Strong attention to detail
- Personality traits to interact with a wide variety of clientele.
- Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Prepare project specific scope and fee proposals.
- Manage projects from proposal development through completion.
- Occasional construction site visits to help identify issues and provide our clients with workable solutions.
- Perform engineering analysis to develop project specific geotechnical recommendations.
- Generate and present well written geotechnical studies.
