About the Position
Bankers Equipment Service is seeking a Technical Account Representative. This field-based position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing cash automation equipment while building and maintaining strong relationships with customers throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, and portions of northwest Minnesota.
The ideal candidate enjoys assisting customers with equipment and product decisions, solving technical problems, working independently, and providing exceptional customer service. This role combines technical service with account management, serving as a trusted advisor to customers by identifying solutions that improve their operations. Previous experience servicing banking equipment, gaming equipment, ATMs, copiers, printers, POS systems, security systems, or other electromechanical equipment is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Service cash recyclers, currency counters, coin equipment, and ATM hardware.
- Respond to customer service calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts.
- Consult with customers on equipment needs and recommend products, upgrades, and service solutions that best fit their business.
- Provide training and operational guidance to customers when needed.
- Accurately document service activities, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Manage inventory of service parts and maintain company-issued tools and equipment.
- Coordinate with dispatch and internal support teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, service improvements, and additional customer needs, and communicate those opportunities to the sales and management teams or assist in closing the sale when appropriate.
- Represent Bankers Equipment Service professionally at all customer locations.
Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Previous field service experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a service territory.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic service documentation.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various customer environments.
- Willingness to travel throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, and portions of northwest Minnesota, with occasional overnight travel as needed.
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
- Glory cash automation products
- Giesecke+Devrient (G&D) equipment
- NCR, Diebold, Hyosung, or Genmega ATMs
- Casino or gaming equipment
- Banking equipment
- Electromechanical repair
- Networking and basic PC troubleshooting
