Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our primary care practice. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support medical staff, and ensure smooth operations within a busy medical practice. As a CMA, you will play an essential part in enhancing patient experiences through compassionate service and efficient clinical support.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic life support when needed.
- Document patient information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) like Eclinical works ( ECW) systems and ensure all medical records are complete and up-to-date.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations by maintaining accurate medical records, managing EMR/EHR systems, and adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program is required.
- Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding.
- Prior experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or geriatrics is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in patient service, medical assisting techniques such as vital signs collection, intake procedures, and basic life support certification.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management and medical documentation. ecw
- Inpatient or hospital experience preferred; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
