Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all necessary supplies are ready for procedures.
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, X-ray assistance, and basic life support in emergency situations.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding, and medical history updates.
- Support patient service efforts by answering questions, providing instructions on medications or procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare teams by scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and coordinating referrals.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols across diverse settings including dermatology clinics, urgent care centers, inpatient units like PICU or Geriatrics wards, and surgical suites.
Experience
- Prior experience in outpatient clinics or hospital environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently.
- Experience performing phlebotomy, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic X-ray procedures.
- Background working in high-acuity settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine environments is advantageous.
- Inpatient experience in hospital medicine or surgical units enhances your ability to adapt to diverse clinical scenarios.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as EHR management or specialized clinical skills are a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.50 per hour
