In this role, your responsibilities will include working with the local dispatch team making local and regional deliveries.
You will also learn our various operational procedures and receive training for the loading and securing of our specialized shipments and equipment. Each delivery should be made safely and properly.
In this unique role you will also provide support to operations:
- Spotting trailers to dock or local Indianapolis area
- Making regional runs
- Assisting as a forklift operator in the warehouse to offload and load your trailer and help our OTR drivers
- Helping with clean up of supplies on trailers
- Take trailers to auction
- Make local pickups and deliveries as needed
- Available and flexible in being in a “GO TO” type role to aid and support local/long distance linehaul operations.
- Learn the specific requirements needed daily and even provide your thoughts on enhancements of the delivery process.
- Bring safety issues on equipment in our yard to our attention
- Able to load and unload trucks as needed
Qualifications and Endorsements needed:
- Class A CDL
- Valid DOT Medical Certificate
- Pass background check
- Good MVR record
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
