Job Description
As a Patient Access Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients presenting for Emergency, Direct Admission, and Outpatient Services — welcoming and registering them with care and efficiency. You will verify insurance benefits and eligibility, process payments accurately, and maintain precise, up-to-date patient records within hospital systems. In this role, you will also coordinate communication and administrative tasks across departments, manage incoming phone calls with professionalism, and consistently create positive, reassuring experiences for patients and their families throughout the registration process.

Education & Work Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3 years of hands-on healthcare insurance verification experience, including running eligibility/benefit verifications and accurately interpreting the results—such as coverage, copays, deductibles, and patient responsibility
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills with proficiency in computer systems and data entry
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
