What You'll Do as a Home Health Aide (HHA)
As a Home Health Aide, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care that allows clients to maintain their independence and quality of life at home. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting clients with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene, and mobility assistance
- Supporting safe transfers, ambulation, and exercises as directed by the care plan
- Preparing meals and encouraging proper nutrition and hydration
- Providing light housekeeping, laundry, and assistance with maintaining a safe home environment
- Assisting with grocery shopping and approved errands
- Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Helping clients maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable living space
- Recognizing and reporting changes in the client's condition to the appropriate supervisor
- Completing accurate documentation of care and services provided
- Developing trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Collaborating with the client's care team to ensure quality, compassionate care
What We're Looking For
- Current Massachusetts Home Health Aide (HHA) certification or successful completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional individuals who take pride in their work
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and insured vehicle
- Ability to work independently while following an individualized care plan
- Previous home care experience preferred, but not required
