What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Prep Cook to join our Food Services team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritans Purse are to help people in Jesus name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Prep Cook, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.

Prepare and serve food according to approved menus and standardized recipes, while keeping waste to a minimum.

Put away stock delivered by food service vendors. Ensure proper dating, rotation, and storage.

Assist with daily closing duties, which include washing dishes, removing trash, and breaking down boxes.

Ensure towels, aprons, and chef coats are laundered. Sweep and mop floors.

Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers.

Other duties as assigned
What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to pass Samaritan's Purse Food Services Advancement Test Level I
