Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Closing Grocery P.I.C (Person in Charge) to lead our retail grocery team with enthusiasm and expertise. As a key leader on the floor, you will ensure smooth daily operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain an engaging shopping environment. Duties
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring all departments run efficiently and smoothly
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, addressing inquiries with professionalism and friendliness
- Supervise staff, including training new team members, delegating tasks, and providing ongoing coaching to foster a motivated team atmosphere
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability
- Handle cash register operations using POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately and efficiently
- Manage stock levels through inventory checks, stock replenishment, and proper merchandising techniques
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including phone etiquette for internal communication and customer interactions
Qualifications
- Previous supervising experience in a retail or grocery store environment is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in both English and bilingual settings if applicable
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and basic math for transactions and inventory management
- Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, and retail sales techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products effectively to enhance store revenue

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
