Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answering a multi-line phone system
- Collecting on past payments
- Posting payments
- Creating fee sheets and meeting with patients for review
- Confirming appointments and verifying insurance
- Obtaining prior authorizations with covered and participating health plans
- Working on claim denials
- Weekend, and as needed front-desk coverage
Skills and Requirements:
- Fantastic interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent computer skills
- Familiar with basic billing functions, insurances, EOB’s, and administrative level tasks
- Certification in billing and coding is a PLUS, but not required
- At least one year’s experience in medical billing/authorizations is a PLUS
- Pleasant, but confident demeanor in all patient relations is required
- Full-Time position, Monday – Friday, rotating Saturday hours
