Alpha Services Company of Rochester is seeking a full-time Designated Coordinator to oversee 2 of our group homes in Wadena, MN. The job of a Designated Coordinator is an important position in the group home as the DC works as a liaison officer among all stakeholders. The DC ensures that the participants are well taken care of through effective coordination of the activities of the house. The DC supervises the Direct Support Staff. The candidate for this job must be willing to be on call in case of emergencies related to the group home(s) they are supervising.
In addition to base salary, we pay $50/2 weeks on call phone incentive + $25/2 weeks gas stipend.

Basic Qualifications:
The Designated Coordinator position requires the following qualifications per MN DHS 245D:
1) associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older
2) a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older
OR
3)minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
Other Qualifications:
The position requires clear understanding of how to meet the needs of clients in the residential care setting, especially clients with mental illness. The individual must be a self-starter, critical thinker, and have the ability to make quick decisions. This position requires demonstration of strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and organization skills. Computer proficiency is highly required and supervisory experience is preferred but not require for this position. Certifications such as First Aid/CPR, Medication Administration, Crisis Intervention & others are required upon hire and must be kept up-to-date for the duration of employment.
The position requires carrying of an on-call phone for urgent matters. Compensation includes base salary + on-call incentive.
