Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Protestant Youth Coordinator to inspire, guide, and support young members of our faith community. Duties
- Plan, organize, and lead youth-focused activities, retreats, and events that promote spiritual development and community engagement
- Provide mentorship and Christian counseling to support youth through personal challenges and life transitions
- Collaborate with church leaders, parents, and volunteers to create comprehensive programs aligned with faith-based values
- Facilitate discussions on faith topics, moral development, and social issues relevant to young people
- Coordinate outreach initiatives to involve youth in service projects, fundraising efforts, and social justice activities
- Offer bereavement support to grieving families within the youth community and provide hospice care awareness when needed
- Develop educational materials and teaching sessions that enhance understanding of Christian teachings and values
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring or guiding youth groups
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with children, teenagers, parents, and church members
- Proven event planning skills for organizing engaging youth activities and retreats
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of church staff and volunteers
- Experience in social work or related fields that involve working with children facing personal or social challenges
- Competence in fundraising strategies to support youth programs and community outreach initiatives
