Minimum
Qualification:
High school diploma/GED, and one (1) year of work experience in law enforcement, corrections, firefighting, EMS, or rescue service, one (1) year of which is involved in providing training applicable to the area of assignment as an adjunct instructor or as a field training officer on special assignment. Must be eligible to obtain Georgia P.O.S.T. General Instructor certification under applicable profession and any required Georgia P.O.S.T. specialty instructor certifications.

Qualification:
Progressive on-the-job experiences as a Correctional Sergeant and Lieutenant. POST IT certification. Proficiency in designing learning objectives, drafting lesson plans, and utilizing training technology (e.g., Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
Note:
This position is assigned to the Leadership Development Unit. The Leadership Development Unit is responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of Leadership and advanced training programs. This position will assist with GDC Supervision and Management Training Programs.
