The Role
This apprenticeship starts on our duct cleaning crew. You'll be in a two-man crew running our equipment in customers' homes, learning the residential side of the trade from the ground up. How systems are actually built. How air moves through a house. How to work clean in someone's home without leaving a trace.
That's where you start. Guys who show up on time and take care of customers move onto an install crew. We'd rather promote from inside than hire strangers, and we're adding crews this year, so the openings are real.
If you'd rather run duct cleaning long-term and get good at it, that works too.
What You'll Do
- Run duct and dryer vent cleaning jobs in residential homes with a partner
- Set up, break down and maintain equipment on every job
- Protect the customer's home: drop cloths, shoe covers, clean work area, nothing left behind
- Walk homeowners through what you found and what you did
- Log jobs, photos and notes in Housecall Pro
- Load and organize the truck, keep tools and equipment in working order
- Follow safety procedures on every job
- Assist install crews on heat pump installs as you develop
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- No HVAC experience required. We'd rather train you our way from day one.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs and working in crawlspaces, attics and varying weather
- Good with people. You'll be in someone's home for two to three hours and how you handle that matters.
- Shows up on time, every time
Bonus Points
- Construction, landscaping, warehouse, moving or any hands-on labor background
- Customer-facing work history like delivery, service or retail
- Anyone who's been on a crew before and knows how to work with a partner
What We Offer
- $20-$24/hr depending on experience
- Per-job bonus on top of hourly. Good crews earn meaningfully more.
