The Construction Project Manager serves as the customer’s primary point of contact throughout the construction process and is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of residential construction projects. This role coordinates field personnel, subcontractors, materials, inspections, schedules, budgets, and customer communication to ensure homes are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and company quality standards.
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Project Management (50%) — Manage approximately 8–12 homes simultaneously at various stages of construction. Coordinate and direct field personnel and subcontractors; schedule material deliveries, inspections, and construction activities; monitor project quality, schedule, and budget; resolve field issues; and identify, evaluate, and onboard subcontractors as needed to maintain project performance and timelines.
2. Customer Communication & Change Orders (30%) — Serve as the customer’s primary point of contact throughout construction. Provide customers with progress updates at least weekly, maintain accurate and timely project information in BuilderTrend, proactively address questions and concerns, and coordinate the scope, pricing, approval, and implementation of customer-requested change orders.
3. Plan & Specification Review (10%) — Thoroughly review and understand project blueprints, specifications, and décor sheets prior to the start of construction. Identify discrepancies, conflicts, missing information, or unusual conditions and work with the Construction Director to resolve outstanding questions before work begins.
4. Warranty Service (10%) — Maintain positive customer relationships following closing and coordinate the timely evaluation and resolution of warranty items submitted during the applicable one-year warranty period.
Travel Requirements
A company truck will be provided for business-related travel between the office, active job sites, vendors, suppliers, and other work-related locations. Transportation to and from the office is the employee’s responsibility and requires use of a personal vehicle.
- Job Site & Vendor Travel (70%) — Travel between the office, active construction sites, vendors, and suppliers as needed. Active job sites are expected to be visited multiple times throughout the workday to monitor progress, coordinate trades, verify quality, and address construction issues.
- Customer Meetings (20%) — Meet and communicate with customers through BuilderTrend, by phone, and on-site as needed to review construction progress, answer questions, and address concerns or issues.
- Warranty Service (10%) — Travel to completed homes and other locations as needed to inspect, coordinate, and resolve warranty-related items.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
