Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Engage with guests warmly to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or food pairings that enhance their experience
- Manage multiple POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates to keep offerings fresh and exciting
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate needs to management proactively
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for change, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within a hospitality environment; fine dining or banquet experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, cocktail mixing techniques, wine varieties, brewing processes, and craft beer trends
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order entry and sales tracking
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and enthusiastically
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate transaction processing
- Experience in beverage recipe development or beverage program management is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in fast-paced settings such as restaurants or catering events
