Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and quality standards
- Properly prepare ingredients, sauces, and food for daily production
- Maintain consistency in food quality, portion sizes, and presentation
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
- Monitor food quality throughout the day and discard products that no longer meet company standards
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory using FIFO procedures
- Help minimize food waste while maintaining product quality
- Communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with cleaning equipment and kitchen at the end of each shift
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Willingness to learn new recipes and techniques
- Food safety knowledge is a plus
