Bridging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization primarily serving the greater Twin Cities, empowers people to thrive in their homes by providing quality furniture and household goods for those pursuing housing stability. Since 1987, Bridging has served more than more than 110,000 households and currently operates out of two locations – Bloomington and Roseville. Driven by nearly 4,000 volunteers each year and donations from the community, we provide the basic home essentials set up to more than 5,000 homes every year. On average, Bridging redistributes 17 semi-loads of donated furniture and household goods to 120 households (300 people) each week. Through financial and inventory support from individuals, businesses, and our local partners, Bridging continues to bring hope and stability to thousands of households in need.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Bridging is excited to be expanding and opening a third location. This location, in Plymouth, will expand our procurement of furniture and household items to better serve the increasing need for our services in the Twin Cities metro area.
Bridging is hiring a Warehouse/Driver Team Member to support the opening of this new site. This position will be a part of a team of three and will be responsible for duties in the warehouse, commercial and residential pick-ups, and organizing and managing inventory of household goods. They will work with others to ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
Hours for this position are Tuesday – Saturday, approximately 9 am – 5 pm. These hours may occasionally vary. Starting pay is $21/hour.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conducts intake of donations, upholding quality standards and providing excellent customer service.
- Conducts residential and commercial pick-ups of furniture and other household items.
- Deliveries inventory between Bridging locations in Plymouth, Bloomington, and Roseville.
- Oversees and assists individual and group volunteers.
- Operates warehouse equipment.
- Recycles cardboard, metals, hazardous materials; ensures that warehouse is clean, organized and safe.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Understanding of and belief in Bridging’s vision and model
- Mission and values-driven with a strong commitment to equity, dignity, including, and belonging
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous warehouse/delivery experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry 70 pounds and push/pull 100 pounds
- Possesses a valid driver’s license
- Must pass HPE physical ability exam and drug screen, and become DOT certified
- Ability and willingness to drive a straight truck
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- High School graduate or GED preferred
- Regular attendance required
Regular schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 8:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
