Our luxury upscale steakhouse is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. This position is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail while maintaining the elevated standards expected within a luxury hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess previous culinary experience, strong technical cooking skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen while delivering exceptional guest experiences through culinary excellence.
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and steakhouse specifications
Execute all assigned station responsibilities including grill, sauté, broiler, pantry, fry, or prep stations
Maintain consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation standards reflective of a luxury dining experience
Properly prepare premium cuts of steak, seafood, sauces, sides, and accompanying menu items
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout service
Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow culinary team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist with daily prep production, inventory rotation, labeling, and storage procedures
Monitor product freshness and report any quality concerns to culinary leadership immediately
Support banquet, private dining, and specialty culinary events as needed
Uphold standards aligned with luxury hospitality, Forbes Travel Guide service culture, and elevated guest expectations
Work efficiently during high-volume dinner services while maintaining composure and attention to detail
Previous culinary or line cook experience required; upscale or steakhouse experience preferred
Knowledge of classic cooking techniques, knife skills, and proper food handling procedures
Experience working grill or broiler stations strongly preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment
Strong understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Culinary school education preferred but not required with relevant experience
