- Implement therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques to promote healing and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and document clinical assessments accurately in accordance with medical documentation standards.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively while adhering to clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) management, ensuring all treatment notes and progress reports are up-to-date and compliant with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and caregivers—to coordinate care plans and discharge strategies.
- Communicate clearly with patients and their families to explain treatment procedures, address concerns, and foster a supportive environment for recovery.
Skills
- Proficiency in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy, physiotherapy techniques, and trigger point therapy.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice.
- Experience with inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health services, and acute care environments.
- Ability to perform thorough clinical assessments documentation while maintaining high standards for medical documentation accuracy.
- Skilled in the operation of medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for efficient documentation and record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver interaction and client engagement across diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes to ensure smooth transitions from therapy settings to home or community environments.
