JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Security Supervisor oversees the Security Officers that are on his/her shift and ensures that Corporate/Departmental policies and procedures are being followed
JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
- Oversee and direct Security Officers regarding the safety and security of guests and employees
- Walk all areas of the hotel/casino to assist guests and Security Officers
- Communicate with Security Officers and guests to ensure a positive guest experience
- Interact with other departments, employees, and guests to ensure proper security issues are addressed
- Handle administrative issues including scheduling, attendance, and training
- Oversee and direct Security Officers regarding the safety and security of guests and employees
- Walk all areas of the hotel/casino to assist guests and Security Officers
- Communicate with Security Officers and guests to ensure a positive guest experience
- Interact with other departments, employees, and guests to ensure proper security issues are addressed
- Protect company assets by ensuring Security Officers are performing their duties
- Review the appearance of the Security Officers as they clock in to ensure they meet the company’s appearance standards
- Communicate with the Security Manager and Security Assistant Manager regarding the daily operations of the Security department
- Handle administrative issues including scheduling, attendance, and training
- Operate a two-way radio to communicate with Security Officers and the control room
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MUST have a valid Clark County Nevada Concealed Weapons permit
- One (1) year of pervious Security Supervisor experience is required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high paced and stressful environment
- Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude
- Ability to follow directions, excellent organizational skills
- Working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
- Function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines
- Handle a fast-paced frequently changing environment
- A valid Nevada Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness Card are required and must be obtained before entering this position
- Must be 21 years of age or older
