Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access using CCTV surveillance systems and physical patrols.
- Control access points by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct thorough inspections of individuals and packages to deter loss prevention and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Enforce safety policies through conflict management techniques, de-escalating tense situations professionally and effectively.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incident reports, shift handovers, and security breaches with accuracy and clarity.
- Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor activity across the premises continuously.
- Assist in implementing loss prevention strategies by identifying suspicious behavior and preventing theft or damage.
- Support emergency preparedness drills and participate in ongoing training to enhance security skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), conflict management techniques, and loss prevention strategies.
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public.
- Physical fitness to stand, walk, patrol extensively, and respond quickly when necessary.
- Familiarity with security procedures, emergency response protocols, and legal regulations relevant to security operations.
