Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to menu specifications
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all kitchen processes
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation to minimize waste
- Contribute to menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Support catering and large-scale meal preparation efforts as needed
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, organized, and functioning properly to promote a safe working environment
Experience
- Hands-on experience in food handling, food service, or restaurant environments demonstrates your readiness for this role
- Culinary experience including meal preparation, cooking, knife skills, and food safety practices is preferred
- Familiarity with kitchen operations such as menu planning, food industry standards, and catering enhances your suitability for the position
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper hygiene protocols is essential
- Experience in food industry roles involving serving or kitchen work supports your ability to thrive in this energetic environment
