Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy machinery, particularly asphalt rollers, and will be responsible for ensuring the proper compaction of asphalt during paving projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate an asphalt roller to compact asphalt in a variety of paving conditions.
- Ensure proper machine operation by conducting regular inspections and maintenance checks.
- Collaborate with crew members to ensure smooth and efficient paving operations.
- Assess job sites and perform necessary adjustments to achieve optimal compaction results.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs to management promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of [1 ] year of experience operating asphalt rollers in a construction or paving environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Knowledge of asphalt paving processes and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
- Physical ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
- Certification in operating heavy machinery (preferred but not required).
