I have a direct hire opening for an Electrical Integration and Test Technician in Byron at an innovative company that is developing large hybrid-electric cargo drones for commercial and DoD logistics. This is a 1st shift opening!
- In this role, you will join the aircraft build crew, where you will fabricate and install wire harnesses, mount and wire propulsion and avionics components, perform functional tests and troubleshooting, support flight test readiness, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are installed correctly and meet aircraft requirements.
- Take on hands-on electrical integration and testing tasks as part of the assembly and development of a hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft.

Pay and Shift Information:
- Pay Range: $45–$55.hour
- 1st shift: 9 am-5 pm; Mon-Fri with some overtime when requested during the weekdays
Job Duties of the Electrical Integration and Test Technician:
- Join the aircraft build team and perform electrical integration tasks across assigned build phases
- Fabricate, route, and install electrical harnesses for flight control, power distribution, and avionics systems
- Complete work both at the bench and on the aircraft during active assembly phases
- Read and follow detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and build instructions
- Use tools such as soldering irons, multimeters, oscilloscopes, strippers, torque wrenches, and pneumatic hand tools to complete electrical fabrication and testing
- Install and terminate harnesses into the aircraft structure to support electrical system integration. Make sure all wiring is cleanly routed and properly connected to meet build specifications.
- Work with both low- and high-voltage systems while following all safety requirements, including battery system precautions
- Perform QA checks, continuity tests, and functional diagnostics on installed systems
- Document installation steps and test results to ensure traceability and compliance with internal quality procedures
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, flight test engineers, and other cross-functional teams throughout the integration and testing process
- Support troubleshooting, repairs, and rework activities as needed to address defects or integration issues
- Remain flexible to shift priorities and assist with other hands-on build or integration tasks as needed

Job Requirements of the Electrical Integration and Test Technician:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, avionics, or related electrical integration roles
- Strong experience fabricating and installing wire harnesses in a prototype or development environment
- Able to work with both low-voltage and high-voltage systems, including powered circuit testing
- Familiarity with aviation or military standards and specifications related to wiring, labeling, and component selection
- Comfortable working from detailed schematics, drawings, and documentation
- Knowledge of aircraft-grade wiring tools and fabrication processes
- Experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
