Join our dynamic construction team as a Traffic Control Flagger, where you will play a vital role in ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow around active construction sites. Your energetic presence will guide vehicles and pedestrians safely through work zones, helping to prevent accidents and protect both workers and the public. Duties
- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic safely around construction zones using clear hand signals, signs, and flagging equipment.
- Set up and maintain proper signage, barriers, cones, and warning devices in accordance with safety protocols and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Monitor work zones continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviors, alerting team members promptly.
- Assist heavy equipment operators by providing clear traffic control instructions during the movement of machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks.
- Communicate effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to ensure everyone understands traffic patterns and safety procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of traffic control devices and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to outdoor work environments, heavy lifting, manual handling, and the use of power tools or hand tools.
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in civil infrastructure roles is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, or similar machinery is a plus.
- Familiarity with road construction processes including paving, highway maintenance, utility locating, welding, and heavy equipment operation like Caterpillar machinery.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations related to commercial truck driving and traffic control for work zones.
- Excellent communication skills for clear signaling and coordination with team members.
- Valid outdoor work experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence is essential.
- Must be able to stand on feet for 12 hour shift with minimal breaks.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
