Experienced Medical Assistant needed at a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation practice with locations in Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Gilbert, North Phoenix, and Peoria. Locations for this position: Scottsdale and Phoenix. Traveling as needed to Mesa, Gilbert, and Peoria.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Knowledge of the health care field.
- General knowledge of patient care in a clinic.
- Knowledge of back office skills, EMG experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality, state laws, HIPAA regulations, and medical records procedures.
- eClinicalWorks EMR knowledge a plus.
- Bilingual a plus.
Functions
- Responsible for preparing the patient for visit with the provider or procedure. This may include, but is not limited to: rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vitals, reviewing intake paperwork, pulling up radiology images, procedure set-up, injection prep, accurate data entry into EMR.
- Maintains exam room standards.
- Assist the provider in preparing patient referrals and completing medical and patient forms.
- Scan and file clinical documents in EMR.
- Obtains authorizations for in office procedures.
- Appointment scheduling - checking out patients
- Coverage in other areas as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
