Overview
Barley + Salt is a Neo-Neapolitan pizza and Kitchen attached to a well established local brewery. We are seeking dedicated and skilled Pizza Cooks to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas, ensuring that each dish meets our standards for taste and presentation. Your expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques will contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. We have positions available at both our Avon and Gypsum Locations.
Duties
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of pizza ingredients and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while preparing food.
Skills
- Proven experience in the culinary field, particularly in pizza preparation or fine dining environments.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting.
