Queens, NY metals distributor seeking an energetic professional full-time warehouse employee.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisor to ensure efficient operations
- Picking and packing product for customer shipment while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.
- Unpacking product for storage and stocking
- Safely operate a forklift and hand tools such as a saw or nail gun
- Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts and reconciliations
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Assist in the fabrication of products as needed
- Building and equipment maintenance as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Standard working hours Monday to Friday on site in Long Island City, NY. Hourly wage staring at $20.50 /hour and includes medical, bonus and other benefits.
