Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operations. In this vital role, you will oversee the upkeep and functionality of our manufacturing facility, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems operate smoothly. Your leadership will drive efficiency, safety, and reliability across all maintenance activities, fostering a proactive maintenance culture that supports our manufacturing excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment & production reliability
- Develop and manage a preventive maintenance (PM) program for CNC mills, lathes, deburring equipment, air compressors, and supporting shop equipment.
- Diagnose and repair (or coordinate repair of) mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-system issues to minimize downtime on machining and deburr equipment.
- Maintain spindle, coolant, way-lube, and chip/coolant management systems on CNC mills and lathes.
- Track equipment performance, maintain repair histories, and recommend repair-vs-replace decisions and capital equipment investments.
- Manage relationships with OEMs and service providers for specialized machine service and calibration.
Facility & building systems
- Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, dust/mist collection, roofing, and structural systems.
- Maintain shipping and receiving infrastructure, including dock doors, dock levelers, forklifts/pallet jacks, racking, and loading-area lighting and safety equipment.
- Manage grounds, parking, and general housekeeping standards across the shop and office areas.
Skills
- Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance tasks.
- Expertise in electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage applications; familiarity with schematics is essential.
- Skilled in using CMMS software for maintenance management; experience with project management is a plus.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems operation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Supervising experience with a focus on leadership development within technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate across departments effectively.
