SENIOR CNC BRIDGE MILL OPERATOR — FIRST SHIFT
Talent & Strategy is partnering with am established, reputable local manufacturer to identify an exceptional CNC Bridge Mill Operator for its first-shift manufacturing team.
This opportunity is designed for an accomplished machinist who can take ownership of complex work, perform challenging setups, and consistently produce accurate, close-tolerance components. We are seeking someone who understands the entire machining process—from reviewing the print and planning the setup through machining and final inspection.
This is not an entry-level or machine-tending position. The successful candidate will bring strong bridge mill or comparable large-format CNC experience and the judgment needed to work independently on large, complex, and high-value parts.

- Machine large, complex, and close-tolerance components
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, specifications, and GD&T
- Plan setups, workholding, tooling, speeds, and feeds
- Establish work offsets and make necessary machine adjustments
- Safely handle, position, and fixture large workpieces
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
- Inspect completed work using precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot tooling, setup, finish, dimensional, and machining issues
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other members of the manufacturing team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
What We’re Looking For

- Proven ability to perform complex setups independently
- Experience machining large, high-value, or close-tolerance components
- Strong blueprint-reading and shop-math skills
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, speeds, feeds, and offsets
