We're looking for an experienced Lead Security Systems Technician to join our growing team. If you have a background in commercial electronic security, enjoy leading projects, and take pride in delivering quality installations, we'd like to speak with you.
This position is ideal for technicians with experience in access control, IP video surveillance, and integrated security systems who are ready to lead crews and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Lead the installation, commissioning, and turnover of commercial electronic security systems.
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot access control, CCTV, intrusion, and integrated security systems.
- Program and configure security hardware and software as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
- Coordinate daily activities with project managers and field supervisors to keep projects on schedule.
- Train and mentor junior technicians while maintaining high-quality installation standards.
- Perform system testing, inspections, and final customer walkthroughs.
- Troubleshoot system issues and complete service work when necessary.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and closeout reports.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards and applicable codes.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of commercial electronic security installation experience.
- Strong knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, and integrated security systems.
- Experience with platforms such as CCURE, Avigilon, Genetec, LenelS2, Brivo, Software House, Bosch, Honeywell, or similar systems.
- Experience with system programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and riser diagrams.
- Experience leading crews and managing commercial projects.
- Proficient with basic computer applications including Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturer certifications (CCURE, Avigilon, Genetec, LenelS2, Bosch, Honeywell, etc.).
- Experience working on healthcare, data center, education, or commercial high-rise projects.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Associate degree or technical training in electronics, networking, or a related field.
