PURPOSE/SCOPE Responsible for elevating the Peterson brand, strengthening dealer and grower relationships, and supporting business growth through strategic marketing leadership. This position leads the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that enhance market positions, support dealer recruitment, increase grower engagement, improve customer retention, and contribute to long-term revenue growth.
This position serves as a strategic marketing partner to Sales by developing campaigns, tools, market insights, and customer-facing resources that support dealer recruitment, grower engagement, customer retention, and revenue growth. Responsibilities include strategic planning, market intelligence, brand leadership, customer insights, analytics, and team leadership to ensure marketing initiatives and investments align with business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy, Positioning, & Growth Planning
- Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives, sales priorities, and brand positioning.
- Lead market positioning efforts to strengthen Peterson’s competitive differentiation.
- Develop customer segmentation strategies and optimize the dealer and grower journey across all key touchpoints.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, competitive activity, and industry dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to measure marketing effectiveness, customer engagement, and ROI.
- Partner with executive leadership to align marketing priorities with business growth goals.
Sales Enablement & Dealer/Grower Engagement
- Serve as the strategic marketing partner to Sales, developing campaigns, tools, insights, and customer-facing resources that improve dealer recruitment, grower engagement, customer retention, and revenue growth.
- Develop sales enablement materials including presentations, campaign kits, recruiting materials, digital assets, and customer-facing content.
- Support dealer success through co-branded marketing programs, seasonal campaigns, and localized promotional strategies.
- Identify and implement marketing initiatives that strengthen customer retention, loyalty, and engagement.
- Participate in strategic customer meetings, dealer events, field days, and planning sessions to gather insights and support business objectives.
Campaign Strategy & Brand Leadership
- Lead campaign strategy and integrated marketing planning across digital, print, social media, email, video, events, and traditional advertising.
- Maintain and strengthen brand consistency across all dealer and grower touchpoints.
- Oversee content strategy, storytelling, product positioning, customer success stories, newsletters, video, photography, and social media.
- Ensure campaigns align with customer needs, business priorities, and growth objectives.
Digital, Analytics, & Customer Insights
- Oversee website strategy, digital content, social media presence, and online customer engagement.
- Utilize analytics platforms and marketing technologies to monitor performance and optimize results.
- Translate customer insights and market intelligence into actionable recommendations.
- Develop data-driven strategies that improve campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and marketing ROI.
Team, Budget, & Agency/Vendor Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team while fostering collaboration, accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage the annual marketing budget with a focus on strategic investment and measurable return.
- Manage external agencies, vendors, and marketing partners to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and aligned with organizational goals.
Events & Field Marketing Oversight
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for major company events including Dealer Kickoff, Field Days, trade shows, grower meetings, and customer events.
- Strengthen relationships with dealers, industry partners, media organizations, and sponsorship partners.
- Ensure events support broader marketing, brand, and customer engagement objectives.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience.
- Proven success developing strategic marketing programs that drive measurable business growth.
- Experience supporting sales organizations through strategic marketing and sales enablement initiatives.
- Strong experience with marketing analytics, customer insights, and ROI measurement.
- Experience guiding brand, creative, and content development; hands-on graphic design experience a plus.
- Agricultural industry experience strongly preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office environment with frequent collaboration across departments, dealers, and customers. Occasional travel for dealer meetings, customer events, trade shows, and field activities. Occasional lifting of marketing materials and event equipment up to 25 lbs.
