Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care and support for individuals with diverse needs. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to foster independence and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, supporting overall health and wellness.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and household tasks.
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely during transfers or mobility assistance.
- Follow prescribed care plans meticulously while collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Support residents in community engagement activities or outings to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Uphold all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures, ready to respond effectively in emergencies such as hospice or hospice-related situations.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring.
- Familiarity with care plans development and implementation tailored to individual requirements.
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely using devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Strong background in providing compassionate senior care and supporting patients through long-term or hospice care scenarios.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information at all times.
