Administrative Assistant
The Simpson Companies is a full-service real estate construction, development, and property management firm serving Vermont and New Hampshire. We are seeking a dependable, organized Administrative Assistant to support all areas of our business, with a primary focus on our property management operations.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping an office running efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and greet visitors.
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager and other departments as needed.
- Prepare correspondence, notices, reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Schedule appointments and assist with day-to-day office operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Section 8 and affordable housing inquiries.
- Coordinate annual and interim recertifications, including obtaining income, asset, and third-party verifications.
- Perform occasional local travel to properties, banks, post offices, and government agencies.
- Assist with special projects for the construction, development, and property management teams.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable working with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and economic circumstances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Previous office, administrative, customer service, or property management experience preferred, but not required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Personal cell phone required ($25/month cell phone stipend provided).
- Local travel required; mileage reimbursed.
Compensation & Benefits
- $22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Monday–Friday schedule with evenings and weekends off.
- Mileage reimbursement for business travel.
- $25 monthly cell phone stipend.
- Paid holidays, paid time off, and benefits in accordance with company policy.
