We're a small, fast-moving ticketing-automation startup looking for a part-time engineering intern (10–20 hrs/week, remote). You'll ship real features to a production TypeScript codebase.
What you'll work on:
- Build and extend pages on our internal React dashboard (data tables, charts, forms)
- Write Node/Express API endpoints and SQL queries against our MySQL database
- Build and maintain web scrapers and browser-automation scripts for ticketing sites
- Write tests, fix bugs, and clean up data
We work with :
- JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals (this is our main language)
- React and basic HTML/CSS
- SQL (we use MySQL) — writing queries, understanding joins
- Git/GitHub and a pull-request workflow
Should Have:
- Ability to read an existing codebase and work independently
Nice to have:
- Node.js/Express or another backend framework
- Web scraping (Cheerio, Playwright/Puppeteer) or building browser extensions/userscripts
- Python
- Experience calling third-party REST APIs or LLM APIs (OpenAI)
- Tailwind CSS
