Overview
We are seeking energetic and compassionate Dog Daycare Attendants to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be the heart of our daily operations, ensuring that every dog receives attentive care, engaging activities, and a safe environment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster happy, healthy dogs while supporting our mission to improve canine well-being through structured routines and positive interactions.
Duties
- Supervise and engage dogs during playtime, ensuring safe and positive interactions among pets.
- Monitor dog behavior closely, using animal handling skills to prevent conflicts and ensure safety.
- Assist with pet grooming, cleaning kennels, and maintaining a hygienic environment throughout the facility.
- Restrain animals safely using animal restraint techniques when necessary for health or safety reasons.
- Support outdoor activities by supervising dogs during outdoor play sessions and walks.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their dogs’ activities and well-being.
- Assist with light veterinary-related tasks or support veterinary technicians as needed to ensure pet health.
Requirements
- Previous experience with veterinary care, veterinary technician work, pet grooming, or pet sitting is highly valued.
- Knowledge of dog training, kennel management, animal handling, and animal restraint techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting safely when moving supplies or assisting with animals.
- Strong skills in pet care, animal care, outdoor work experience, and maintaining cleanliness in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels throughout shifts.
