Position Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care for patients with orthopedic, spinal, post-surgical, and chronic pain conditions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, values hands-on treatment techniques, and thrives in a collaborative outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist
- Provide patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on communication, compassion, and outcomes
- Perform and assist with manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises
- Support spinal rehabilitation and post-surgical recovery programs
- Utilize therapeutic modalities as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on exercises, home programs, and injury prevention
- Accurately document patient progress and treatment sessions
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and positive treatment environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current or eligible PTA license
- Strong interest in outpatient orthopedics, spinal rehabilitation, and pain management
- Experience or familiarity with:
- Manual therapy
- Spinal rehabilitation
- Therapeutic modalities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a passion for patient care
