This position is responsible for providing quality control inspection according to technical documentation and procedures, and for creating and maintaining quality documentation.

Performs incoming receiving, in process, and final inspection on customer or WIP parts according to the technical documents (travelers, specifications, drawings etc.) and utilizing standard measuring tools.

Prepares and issues Packing Lists and Certificates of Conformance following established protocols.

Completes non-conformance documentation.

Maintains Quality tracking.

Maintains quality documentation records, ensuring completeness of all records prior to filing.

Supports Engineering during qualification activities.

Supports production, purchasing, accounting, and logistics activities.

Verifies measurement device condition, calibration, and calibration dates prior to using to perform documented measurements
- Completes process audits as directed by management

Supports and follows QMS guidelines and directions.

Offers suggestions for improvement for quality activities and to improve production flow, non-conforming procedures etc.

Participates in quality training as assigned by supervisor.

Provides additional duties as required.

Technical aptitude with high level of attention to detail.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Possesses deep knowledge of technical production processes.

Utilizes standard quality measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, eddy current gauges, rulers, etc.

Technical drawing comprehension, ability to read and interpret specifications. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software

Able to maintain customer and Flame Spray confidentiality in regard to specifications, drawings, purchase order financial information etc.

Ability to interact with Production Supervisors and operators, and maintain confidentiality, while respecting production hierarchy/chain of command.

Non-conforming products identification and disposition within established guidelines.

Quality/Production documentation and records management ability (travelers, visual inspection records etc.) per established guidelines.

Quality Management System basic training (based on ISO9001).

Ability to operate a manual pallet jack.

Practices safe working practices at all times, and models safety to others.

Previous experience in similar role in similar companies preferred.

Availability for shift/work.

Ability to bend, twist, climb, stoop or stand.

Ability to spend time sitting at a desk or workstation.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

An essential function for this position, based on business necessity, is that the employee must be physically in attendance at his/her workstation at the designated company office location during the normal business
